"If you're in the area you have to get your lunch here. The place has been revamped lately and the owner is now doing incredible homemade pies, I had a slow cooked pork today and it was tender, delicious and very sizey. The burgers are also awesome, brioche buns and tasty patties, all made in house too. So good!"

"As the old saying goes: "Don't judge a book by it's cover". This definitely applies here. Not much from the outside, but once you go in, it doesn't need to be. It's great in its own space. A great and plentiful range of ready to go meals, sandwiches, pies, burgers, and other delights. They even have the obligatory drinks fridge. Coffee available as well. Awesome space inside, humble, unassuming, and not pretentious. You are always greeted with a fabulous warm and gregarious service. It is truly a hidden gem, but probably not a secret, if many people are in on the good stuff. A place that I have known about for about 5.5 years but never ventured in. What a mistake! I don't think you could ask for much more in a venue. Definitely got it covered for range and choices of food. Today, March 18th, was my first time in, and the $9.5 egg, bacon, and beef burger is a bloody ripper and very filling. You'll definitely get your money's worth."

"Always a brilliant experience at Ed's. Tasty simple fresh sandwiches, hot sandwiches and panini, hot dinners to take away, AND homemade hot pies - or cold ready for freezing and heating at home! Always love coming here for some bright cheeriness, small biz champion, keeping the community spirit in Fairfield. Lovely bright artwork outside, new garden furniture and a pretty garden plot makes for a needed "feel good" visit. Ed's also use Wangim reusable coffee cups for patrons to borrow and return - this is a wonderful local environmental initiative also mirrored at Rhubarb Rhubarb (Preston Market) and Outer Circle Social Club (Xmas st)."

"Oh, this is a real find. What a cute and beaut workers’ cafe. My coffee was immaculate. Just beautifully made, so much so that many a hipster cafe would struggle to match the standard. The curried egg sandwich made on the premises was an absolute cracker too. Best one I’ve had for years. Chock full of flavour and chock full of filling and really good value too. Service was lovely here as well. Efficient and friendly. I cannot wait to taste the home made pies on my next visit. The lady here is a pastry chef by trade and she makes different types of pies everyday. They look and sound incredible"

"It’s a pleasure to find such a lovely place, it’s not on a main road, but not far off, like a previous review, never judge a book by its cover, it’s TOP SHELF, and if you like Pies, like actual home made pies by a qualified pastry chef, I’d grab them before they sell out, that withstanding, Ed, the owner will always make sure you never go hungry. Whatever the best ingredients, it will be there and all made with love, a smile. I can’t speak more highly of a venue, stop in and say hello, bottom line, not many places like this around anymore, owner operated and actually cares about what goes in your belly. Always healthy, always amazing and ALWAYS something new. A gifted mind when it comes to food. Enjoy x"
